Event Details

Writers Theatre will stage the U.S. premiere of Quixote: On the Conquest of Self September 27-December 17. Enrich your experience of it with Claudia Traudt, who returns to the library to trace the background and overall arc of the Cervantes classic upon which the play is based. If you’re not attending the play, you’ll still enjoy her analysis of this unforgettable novel, from Quixote’s tilting at the windmill, his lanky, frail self and nag Rocinante, and his portly, wry sidekick Sancho Panza. Ms. Traudt teaches at Columbia College Chicago and for the University of Chicago’s Basic Program.
