THE RIDER

Based on a true story, The Rider is a genuine 21st-century western. Back in South Dakota after a fateful accident, a former rodeo rider must determine how to proceed with his life without the work by which he has defined himself. Director Chloe Zhao's masterful use untrained actors only adds to the authenticity and emotional impact of The Rider, a recipient of universally high marks from critics.
