Did you know that there’s a house in Glencoe designed by the
architect of the Chicago Water Tower? Or that our train station’s architect
also designed Navy Pier? Learn about many such surprising connections between
structures in Glencoe and outstanding architecture in Chicago and around the
country. Laurie Petersen, a Winnetka-based architectural historian, will give a
slide presentation that sheds new light on familiar buildings. Ms. Petersen is
the editor of the AIA Guide to Chicago,
which features over 1800 buildings in the city.
