Event Details

This second Sesquicentennial lecture invites you to dig into some of the mysteries behind our community’s history. Was Glencoe a stop on the Civil War Underground Railway? What was Al Capone’s Glencoe connection? Are the sculptures on the gates at the Hoover Estate really from the Louvre? Was the house that Frank Lloyd Wright designed for Grace Fuller ever built and if so, where? And what happened to our lighthouse? Cosponsored with the history sleuths of the Glencoe Historical Society.
