It is 1964 and the former first lady is struggling to cope. Attempting to determine her next step, she reviews her life, sharing stories about her marriage, her fight for privacy amidst intense media scrutiny, her work to restore the White House, and her efforts to showcase the arts. Award-winning actress Leslie Goddard, making a return visit to the library, holds a doctorate in American studies and U.S. history and a master’s degree in theater and is the author of two books on Chicago history.
