Bucktown, Wicker Park, Logan Square, Humboldt Park…do these names sound familiar, but you’re not quite sure where they are or why they generate so much buzz? This richly illustrated lecture will explore these neighborhoods and the 606 Trail that links them, showing you cutting-edge buildings alongside beautifully restored mansions, graystones, and brick cottages. The 606 Trail was an abandoned elevated rail line that is now a 2.7-mile recreational trail and park. Presented by architectural historian Laurie Petersen, co-editor of the AIA Guide to Chicago and frequent presenter at the library.
