Event Details

If you took the musicality of the Beatles and matched it with the lyricism of Bob Dylan, the result might be Simon & Garfunkel, one of the most successful musical acts of the 1960s. Using audio and visual content, we'll trace the arc of their career, from the teenybopper hit “Hey Schoolgirl” to the folk-rock classic “Sound of Silence” to the ever-popular “Mrs. Robinson” to the majesty of “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” Presented by Gary Wenstrup, an adjunct professor at the College of DuPage. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIRTUAL PROGRAM, WHICH WILL TAKE PLACE ON ZOOM. About 24 hours prior to the program, you will receive an e-mail message with a link to the program and instructions. If you do not receive the message prior to the program, please check your spam folder before contacting the library. Questions? Contact Grace Hayek, Head of Programs & Communications, at ghayek@glencoelibrary.org.
