Event Details

Join us as we bust some myths about what can really go into your recycling bin, where it goes, and how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected recycling collection. Plus, learn more about ways to reduce your waste stream including composting, tips on how to safely reduce and reuse, and learn about the Village Recycling Event on October 10 (which is before the fall Clean-up Day on October 17). As you tune into this virtual event, please feel free to grab that pizza box or egg carton or any item you're wondering about to ask directly if it can be recycled or alternative ways to divert it from the landfill. Cosponsored with Lakeshore Recycling Systems and the Glencoe Sustainability Task Force. Registration for this Zoom program is required. The Zoom link for this event will be emailed to you about 3 hours prior to the event. If you feel you did not get the link, please first check your spam folder before contacting the library. If you have questions, contact Grace Hayek, Head of Programs & Communications, at ghayek@glencoelibrary.org.

If you'd like to receive weekly updates on library programs and services, please sign up for GPL Weekly, the library's e-newsletter:
