Author Robert Loerzel will discuss some of the walks featured in his book Walking Chicago: 35 Tours of the Windy City’s Dynamic Neighborhoods and Famous Lakeshore — including historic neighborhoods in the city as well as natural areas. His presentation will include photos and maps. In addition to being an avid walker, Loerzel is an award-winning freelance journalist with more than 30 years of experience. His reports have appeared in Chicago magazine and Pioneer Press and on WBEZ, among many other outlets, and he’s also the author of the true-crime book Alchemy of Bones: Chicago’s Luetgert Murder Case of 1897.
