Actress
and historian Leslie Goddard returns in a portrayal of Alice Paul, one of the
most determined leaders of the suffrage fight. The performance depicts Paul in
the 1910s, as she was pioneering radical techniques to advance the
cause.
Ms. Goddard's performance is part of "100 Years of Women Voting," a series of programs the library is presenting in conjunction with the Glencoe, Northbrook, and Glenview Public Libraries and the Glencoe-Glenview chapter of the League of Women Voters to commemorate the centennial of the passage of the 19th Amendment.
