The Nachusa Grasslands is a 3,800-acre restored tallgrass prairie near Franklin Grove, about a two-hour drive from Glencoe. Managed by The Nature Conservancy, it is the state’s largest and most biologically diverse grassland restoration project. Naturalist and longtime Nachusa volunteer Susan Kleiman will describe the restoration process and tell the story of the large bison herd that now roams the land. Presented in partnership with the Friends of the Green Bay Trail.
